Jeffrey Mazur
Chief Financial Office

Jeff left a position in 2012 working for a company that had a mission of fighting heart disease for what he believes is the most pressing problem impacting his children and future generations--

climate change. Jeff desires his legacy be to help to solve this global crisis.

Jeff is pursuing a dual career using his multiple skills sets in the environmental field. In addition to being Earth Deeds’ CFO, Jeff also works part time for the Massachusetts Audubon Society,  teaching outdoor experiential programs and climate change to middle and high school students. Jeff believes that if a person is truly able to engage with nature, one can awaken to a sense of wonder, connection and appreciation that is the bedrock of good stewardship.

Prior to joining Earth Deeds, Jeff worked for various companies that had technologies that were beneficial to mankind. Jeff has served as VP of Finance at Infraredx (cardiovascular diagnostic company), the Divisional Controller at NetSilicon, Inc (wireless connectivity), and in various financial and accounting capacities for Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc (life and lab sciences). Jeff earned his CPA while working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

B.S. (summa cum laude) Boston University; Business Administration

Personal Interests

Jeff recently moved from the suburbs of Boston to western Massachusetts with his wife, Jackie, and their children, Adam and Raquel. Jeff’s interests include outdoor experiential education, mycology, permaculture, jewish spirituality, primitive skills, wild edibles, creating art in various forms, intentional community, travel, biking, hiking and swimming.
