Earth Deeds is moving beyond carbon offsetting by engaging groups as well as individuals to acknowledge their environmental impacts and support meaningful projects that build local community resilience and Carbon Consciousness.  Rather than “neutralizing” our environmental “sins”, Earth Deeds is saying, “Let’s be grateful for the Earth’s gifts – notably fossil fuels – and let’s ‘pay it forward’ in ways that have meaning to us and create a better world for ourselves and our children.” Earth Deeds vision is to become a key leverage point in our planet’s “Great Turning” toward a more ecological age.  By measuring and accounting for our climate impacts, we can support and develop beneficial relationships with local sustainability projects and create healthy communities for our ourselves, our children, and all beings.

Fundación En Vía is a non-profit organization located in Oaxaca, Mexico. We are committed to supporting social and community development through the combination of three main programs: microfinance, responsible tourism, and education. Our microloan program gives women the opportunity to create or expand small businesses, empowering them to better provide for themselves and their families. Our educational programs impart women with the knowledge they need to make better decisions regarding their businesses, personal finances, and use of loans. Our tourism model allows us to leverage the resources from tourism and direct them sustainably into communities, while connecting people to the ideas, strength and power of women working hard to improve their future.

<p>The Internet was supposed to foster public understanding of and discourse on complex problems. Many believe it has done the opposite. The good news is that there are many individuals and organizations producing information that can help each of us answer the questions that can help us make better climate change decisions, individually and organizationally. The bad news is that you&rsquo;re unlikely to ever come across the work that would be most useful to you. It&rsquo;s overwhelmed and hidden by the sheer daily volume of climate information. Imagine what we could accomplish if &ldquo;only we knew what we know.&rdquo; That&rsquo;s why the Climatographers have dedicated more than 16,000 hours of unpaid time to building the Climate Web over the last five years.<br /> <br />Why? Because based on our combined total of more than 50 years of experience working on climate change issues, we&rsquo;re convinced that we all &mdash; climate professionals, activists, interested individuals, and anyone else who is and wants to be involved in this issue &mdash; desperately need a knowledge solution like the Climate Web. There is a virtual infinity of information relating to climate change. But finding information you can specifically use is difficult no matter who you are or what your level of knowledge. The Climate Change Leadership Institute (CCLI) is a not profit organization dedicated to phasing out greenhouse gas emissions & empowering community thru the ethics of conservation, the adoption of clean energy and the act of taking responsibility as a civil society. The US Climate Action Network (USCAN) was founded in 1989 to coordinate US non-governmental organization (NGO) voices in UN climate negotiations. In the 90’s, USCAN expanded its work to coordinate with state and local groups to help with national and international engagement.
