Gaia Action Challenge - EDE in Greece Scotland
Applying the EDE Curriculum for the greater good
Ecovillage Design Education courses give participants the skills to create sustainable designs in their own communities.  Now, let's give them the funds to actually make these designs a reality!  EDE graduates are eligible to apply to this fund to implement actions based on the EDE Curriculum. Proposals are vetted by a committee made up of board members, certification committee members, and experts in the field.  Recipients are required to submit regular progress reports and a final evaluation. For the GEN+20 Summit, funds will go to support an EDE in Greece.
Global Ecovillage Network Scotland
Pathways to a sustainable future
The Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) is a growing network of sustainable communities and initiatives that bridge different cultures, countries, and continents. GEN serves as umbrella organization for ecovillages, transition town initiatives, intentional communities, and ecologically-minded individuals worldwide.
NextGEN Scotland
The youth movement of the Global Ecovillage Network
Today we are active in every GEN region, with each region operating with its own focus and specific goals. We are united by our youthful spirits, our love of the ecovillage movement and the longing to be a part of creating the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible. In the regions of Oceania and Asia, Africa, North America and Europe we have groups gathered under the NextGEN name. In CASA (Latin America) CASA Jóvenes is in the process of emerging. We dialogue between regions through NextGEN International which is a thematic region of the Global Ecovillage Network.
GEN Africa Africa
The African ecovillage association
GEN-Africa is the African ecovillage association, promoting social resilience, environmental protection and restoration of nature through the concept of ecovillages as models for sustainable human settlements. We actively support the development of ecovillages and networks in all parts of Africa.
GEN Europe Germany
A Movement for lived sustainability
GEN-Europe is the European ecovillage association promoting social resilience, environmental protection and restoration of nature through the concept of ecovillages as models for sustainable human settlements. We actively support the development of ecovillages and networks in Europe.
GEN-NA USA
Ecovillage Network of North America
GENNA is the Ecovillage Network of North America and is active primarily in the United States in Canada. GENNA is still in the process of defining itself: the emergence of CASA created a network specifically for Latin America, altering the landscape of the former umbrella organization, the Ecovillage Network of the Americas.
GENOA India
Global Ecovillage Network Oceania & Asia
GENOA, established in 1997 by Max Lindegger, is a network of people, ecovillages and organisations in Oceania & Asia region. A member of the Global Ecovillage Network, GENOA promotes ecovillage living where people live in a sustainable way, with dignity, in harmony with each other, and with nature.
CASA Brazil
Latin American Ecovillage Network
The Council of Sustainable Settlements of the Americas seeks to coordinate and strengthen the actions of Latin American national and regional networks promoting, forming, investigating and disseminating ways of sustainable and regenerative life. CASA seeks to create and visualize living examples that can inspire change towards life patterns that recover and regenerate the ecological, economic and social systems, we consider vital to ensure the continuity of the human species on earth. CASA emerged in January 2012 from the convergence of movements and networks towards sustainable living and was given the task of making visible the movement of sustainable settlements in Latin America. CASA connects organizations, settlements, communities, eco-districts, towns in transition, and enterprises that drive the proliferation of intentional projects as benchmarks to a life of regenerative relationship with the planet and among humans.
