When you pack your bags for this J-Term, be sure to bring along your sense of wonder. You will be on one of the great travel adventures in the world. Imagine this: you are on a boat that has crossed from the southern tip of South America and have just sighted the great continent of Antarctica and its millions of penguins. Your 12 days/11 nights in Antarctica will be the culmination of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Plus you'll explore Buenos Aires, a great city, and the spectacular landscapes and wildlife of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. We'll weigh and measure penguin babies with biologists in the Beagle Channel. We also camp at the base of Mt. Fitzroy one night, to witness an unforgettable sunrise on the great rock face of the Andes. All this is in the context of studying natural history and conservation issues. This is one of the premier educational opportunities of your college career - a journey to the end of the world. You and your classmates will all agree: college does not get better than this.
